so, i ended up making the pita dough last night anyways, because the longer it sits the better it’s supposed to taste.
it was an absolute fucking insane mess. dough was stuck everywhere, i couldn’t get it off my hands, sam couldn’t get it off his, it was ALL over the very very little counter space that we have in our kitchen. i was sure it was going to be a total disaster.
and today i dropped sam off at work and headed to goodwill to find a blender for the hummus. i found a 16-speed black and decker model from three years ago for $8. and while i was there i ended up buying three scarves, and a shirt, and a pretty party dress.
(i don’t really have any clothes that fit anymore because the combination of depo hormones and lack of physical activity due to having my foot broken have made me FAT. fatter than i’ve been in seven years. ugh.)
anyway, when sam got home from work he made the pitas and i made the hummus and we combined that with sliced turkey, tomato and onion, and OMIGOD IT WAS SO MOTHERFUCKING DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
seriously.
that’s not even close to enough exclamation points.
